What is Freedom?

We have really come to terms with the reality. We have analysed the social issues in Nigeria and have come to the conclusion that the 'Do-nothing' politicians with silly arrogance of power only concerned with the 'round-the-clock scramble for position, power and survival', unashemdly hold the nation to ransome.

The country is chronically under-invested in public infrastructure, there is collapsed education system, collapsed healthcare services, the very primary duty of the government.

The government simply continue to promote medical tourism , education  and religious tourism.

Saudi Arabia has just published multi- billion dollar income from religious tourism, whereas our economy is  mirred in recession, widest inequality, soaring inflation, huge unemployment squeeze, no plans for technology development and modernity, widespread insecurity in most cases sponsored by the politicians for opportunity and exploitation.

According to the BBC, Saudi Arabia government announced that The Hajj Pilgrimage contributes $12Bn annually to their economy.

Poor Nigerians have benefited absolutely nothing from more than five-decades-long oil boom.

The 'Few' have resisted widespread call to restructure the country given abundant evidence of the benefits for rapid economic development and stability. They're only interested in the next elections.

INEC said they're ready for the next elections...."Interms of the strategic planning, we're prepared for 2019".

What's really on their mind is nothing but power. It's not as if they don't know what to do, they simply want to continue business as usual.

We have published the data for National budget allocation , Capital budget allocations and Constituency project allocations. The Statistics tells the sorry story of the greatest injustice , discrimination and division in a country that claims to be fighting corruption and intimidating the rest of the society to remain one-Nigeria.

This is where almost fifty-years of Stalinist's centralist system has gotten us.

According to Ronald Reagan; Former US President, "Politicians at the national level must no longer be permitted to mortgage your future".

I think it's quite a positive thing that we help get people become better informed about what's going on so as to be on the right side of history.

These people are truly. the cause of your problems not the solution. It's a very, very long road to freedom given the status-quo..

Politics, the crooked timber of our communal lives, dominates everything because in the end everything high and low, most especially, high-lives or dies by politics...., get your politics wrong, however, and everything stands to be swept away"-Charles Krauthammer

Resume or Resign: 'There's more to life than Politics'

At last President Buhari returns to a 'roaring crowd' after spending more than 103days in the UK for medical treatment, thus ending the political uncertainties that have greeted his unending absence.

His absence and silence really heated up the polity. This is like the resurrection of a man who few months ago was a good stake at the hands of the bookies. "The president would return as soon as the doctors give him the green light", his political associates declared.

The president is just 74, if he's lucky he will continue till 2019, though not a favourite any longer given his health conditions;  despite the manipulative attempts by the progressives and vested interest groups to use him for political gains. However, we all know that the ruling party risks 'long-term damage' come 2019 , because of the pathetic situation they have created at this moment of 'national destiny'.

No one knows what his ailment is, or what went wrong and why. In this country the private life of the leadership is not subject to public discussion.

According to Charles Krauthamer; "It is fate, destiny, nemesis. Perhaps, the dawning of knowledge, the coming of sin or more prosaically, the catastrophe that awaits everyone from a single false move, wrong turn, fatal encounter. Every life has such a moment. What distinguishes us is whether and how we ever come back".

This is a period of  repentance and sober reflection as we continue our search for inclusive democracy; a new society built on  shared value and shared identity to lift ordinary people out of poverty.

This is the great challenge especially, now that the president has returned. It's also an opportunity for Nigerians to see for themselves if the President is fit to take them to the promised land or the ' road to nowhere'.   Welcome President Buhari !
