UK Government to recruit overseas teachers due to shortage of teachers.

The UK Government is paying recruitment consultants huge sums of money to search for teachers overseas due to shortage of teachers in public schools. According to  reports,  the government is failing to provide enough teachers for the growing school population, due to high teacher withdrawal rate, citing 'high workloads'.
Schools are looking to some Commonwealth countries including New Zealand, Canada, and South Africa to recruit teachers .  Currently 8% of teachers in the UK are from abroad.  Photo: Uche.
