Nigeria's Democracy And It's Crisis Deliberate, Avoidable: Restructuring 'wrapped tightly' in a green white green flag' (coming soon)

We're now stuck in another dilemma. We must not forget that we are dealing with the people who do not want to change the way things are, the 'crooks', however, everybody deserves a chance, this is an opportunity to ascertain if this is part of the new plot to hold on to power and unleash further terror on already devastated nation.

Mixed reactions have greeted the new ruling APC party's committee report on restructuring, saying the recommendations will not address real issues facing the country. The leading opposition PDP party described the document as a sham and deadly trap.

The apex Igbo organisation , The Eastern Consultative Assembly  (ECA), also has described the committee report as "a plot from the pit of hell to deceieve Nigerians, a pretext and a design to win the 2019 election". They accused the President of planning to Islamize Nigeria using the herdsmen.
In their own words: "APC report on restructuring is a red herring, a smoke screen and an ungodly deception designed soley to buy time, to deceieve and to mislead the masses of the country into voting in this tasteless, ruthless and unworthy cabal into the office for a second term"[ECA reveals Buhari's single agenda, says APC Report on restructuring a plot from pit of hell, DailyPost February 10, 2018].

However, a group based in Kaduna state, Northern Nigeria, wants a new Nigeria where there is equality and diversity for development promoted. According to Dr Kajit Bagu, the founder of the Movement for Cognitive Justice, Nigeria must recognise and give equality to its diverse ethnic groups to end recurring ethnic conflicts in the country. In his words: "...today, the country is grappled with identity crises, recurrent conflicts and genocide; citizenship, indigenship , the Fulani and settlers question, and increasing incidence of human right abuses".
He concluded that "Nigeria;s problem was not to restructure what he described as "defective British-created racist order", but to build a new political landscape that Nigerians can call their own
.[ Restructuring: Group Seeks Equality Recognition For All Ethnic Nationalities; Independent, February 12, 2018].

The whole thing is begining to take shape. We are earnestly waiting for the sensational outcome as the country is about to make history, perhaps a happy ending of the deliberate actions of the few over the many.

We are gathering more information to complete this essay. Senator Shehu Sani, a Senator representing Kaduna state, Nigeria said "restructuring will not happen, do not be decieved". We are waiting to find out more:

Uche Okeke.
