Participatory Obedience is a Political Tragedy

"In Politics being deceieved is no excuse"-LESZEK KOLAKOWSKI

In most dangerous times especially when the political order seems imperilled, our only hope is to learn from it.  If we forget history and if we're not careful, we will neglect it for another.

Most of the power of the authoritarian is freely given. We are still learning from this government that came to power by manipulating simple human emotions like fear, violence and management of real, fake and questionable terrorism; surpressing rivals, opposition, manipulating to introduce a one -party state.

History can familiarise and it can warn. We need to examine history to consider the proper responses to it.
The country now finds itself in a prolonged period of uncertainty, unimaginable circumstances. There is a threat to end democracy. We must remember that when elections end tyranny begins.

Democracy remains the only hope for man. We must demand true decentrealisation, multiparty system, independent legislature, independent electoral body and a thriving opposition to help check tyranny. Now is a good time to do so.

We must beware of 'vain hope' and resist the manipulations of politicians of 'eternity and inevitability' to destroy our collective future. According to Timothy Snyder; "Tyrants seek the hook on which to hang you, try not to have hooks"-

I have strongly suggested people should vote regional political parties in future to help check sycophancy and tyranny and help facilitate decentralisation. 'Participatory obedience is a political tragedy'.

"When we take an active interest in the matters of doubtful relevance at moments that are chosen by tyrants and spooks, we participate in the demolition of our own political order'-   Timothy Snyder

It's worthy to note that Afenifere and Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar have all raised their voices for decentralisation and democracy.

Now is the time to renew our commitment to liberty.

When the democractic dream becomes a nightmare of tyranny

It's a very long-way for Nigeria. It's very sad that 'medieval-style tyranny is still going on in the modern age turning the democratic dream into a nightmare of tyranny. Tyrants holding power over nations by preying on simple human emotions-fear.

I learnt  some of the Chibok girls have been released. What we have witnessed so far has shown how far behind the tide of civilisation the country has fallen- stage managed corruption war, opposition and dissent clampdown, widespread hardship with cruelity and violence.

History is full of the deeds of 'merciless despots, bloodthirsty and dangerous liabilities who manipulated the minds of the unthinking masses and caused devastations.
This dispensation is nothing but absolute autocracy with ruthlessness using henchmen to silence the clamour for basic human rights; just to maintain power at all costs. A complete totalitarian dictatorship maintained solely by terror, negating the nation's interests.

The nation is brought to its knees because of the greed for 'conquest and power' to ensure that a dynasty of ruthlessness with territorial ambitions will continue to extend their legacy using 'callous and cruel' means.

Young girls have always been victims of despots. Self-styled Emperor Bokassa of Central African Republic rounded up 200 ragged school children and put them in prison when he felt being ignored. The Ottoman despots had 280 girls tied in weighted sacks and thrown into the Bosporous.

Deranged Cpl. Foday Sankoh ransacked remote villages in Sierraleone kidnapping innocent girls to be buried alive for super natural powers; yet he died shamefully on a tiny wooden bench in a war crime custody in Freetown.

Creationism has always saved humanity from these heartless despots.

Come 2019, voters should demand decentralisation to help put an end to some of these excesses- violence. Vote for people more educated, more tolerant, more civil and polite, considerate;  not people looking for 'boundless authority' expecting every order to be carried out without question, in a democratic setting.

Vote for people who will help drive the democratic dream that ensures human security, human freedom and human flourishing. Vote for educated leaders who will promote inclusiveness, greater access to talents and markets, channelling resources to skills training and the digital economy to secure future growth and opportunities.

Poor societies should be worried about the future challenges posed by technology instead of silly greed for conquest and power for personal gains.

Voters should avoid ruthless sycophants competing for favours and support. Selling your votes to illiterates and sycophants is one sure way to condem already battered future.
Do not sell your votes to greedy men seeking for power for personal fortune.

Do not enter 'the mouth of hell'- insatiable greed for power whose only motive is to collect 'gold and silver' to make themselves, their families, friends and associates in crime rich.

Get digital, leverage technology for freedom

I was determined to find out why there is so much suffering in the world. I decided to discard my Statistics and Insurance books to dig deeper. The answer is Man.

Statistics will tell you the millions of people killed as the final solution, Insurance will use war clauses as excuse to repudiate liability.

The demagouges 'who manipulate the minds of the masses to cause the death of millions' will tell you that 'if you kill a man; you are murderer, kill millions of men, women and children; you are a conqueror, kill everyone and you're a god'. This is the evil ideologies that defined the 20th century politics.

"The belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary. Men alone are capable of every wickedness"- Joseph Conrad (1911).

The world is full of powerful vampires, ruthless sycophants,  fake prophets, Alfas, 'Ara-Nwanyi Asaba, betrayals, heartbreaks, grief and misery, thuggery to genocide caused by man.

We must resist any situation that will send us to dark ages. Indeed, some risks are worth taking others are just unnecessary, according to John Murray.

Say No to ONONGONO(Remain where you are.), the slogan of the politicians, we are on the ground....

We must leverage technology to help ordinary people regain freedom.

"A siesmic shift in living and thinking is taking place due to the rapid and pervasive introduction of new technologies to daily life. It delivers new freedoms. He concluded ; ''the concept of absolute freedom is central to the ideology of the internet.

We are committed to providing platforms that will help ordinary people regain freedom, by making sure young people's choices reflect the future. The future is coming and if we do not act now, we will definitely be left behind.

There is no greater service than this; freeing people from the manipulations of ruthless rulers and their territorial ambitions to extend their legacy.
Death has always played a role in preventing some of these evil deeds, bringing a solution, no foe presents.

The world need  new leaders committed to freedom, diversity and enterprise; leadership that ensures human dignity and human flourishing.
