Nigeria's Democracy And Its Crisis Deliberate, Avoidable: The heart of the matter: Rethinking the federal system of government in Nigeria- Uche Okeke

Uche Okeke, is a Statistician and Social Entrepreneur. Story coming soon as we continue with our moonlight tales of how the thug business destroyed the beautiful game of football in Nigeria; the world's best loved game . Why? How? Unless....

We have argued that there is urgent need to restructure the current political structure in Nigeria to facilitate inclusiveness ie, create greater opportnunities for the citizens. The current structure does not believe in growth for all. Too much power is concentrated at the centre.

Today our security and freedom is threatened by the commitment to accommodate unwelcome aliens whose border is full of blood. This requires new leadership with the political will to make change happen. The current leadership believes in the status-quo and is very committed to it. We must speak the truth to power. The insistence to accomodate  dangerous maurading aliens is a gross threat to our collective freedom and security.

We must be willing to reject bribe and the guns to change the way things are, this involves all of us -media, people(traditional rulers, religious leaders, student leaders, market women , trade leaders, opinion and community leaders, etc).

This 21st century, the past is over, so we must look for people who are capable of doing the work, not collecting bribe from incapable people to continue the status-quo. The guns will cease to fire if we collectively resist it and say NO to the way things are: Endless manipulation, exploitation, exclusion, repression, etc.
