About Me:

"Speak the truth to power. Question authority. The politicians have made a mockery of democracy. It's very imperative that we take control of the political narrative. There is urgent need to speak out on the big issues that keep people poor, issues like inequality and social exclusion"-Uche Okeke.

We have been looking at the root cause of social issues in Nigeria. There is urgent need for reforms- the restructuring of the current political structure for development. Change needs informed citizenry to put pressure on the politicians to do the right thing, not sycophancy or accepting bribes from power holders to make the status-quo permanent.

We now live in a globalized world marked by rapid technological and informational changes, world trade expansion. Poor societies need 'new responses and specialized skills' to explore the opportunities these changes offer to enable them grow and lift their people out of poverty.

  1. Today anyone can leverage the internet to post his or her thoughts and photos, video's online, to become a publisher, with the potential to reach billions of people around the world and earn advertising revenue.

"As of 2015 there are around 3 billion internet users and that number is growing rapidly. The fastest growth will come in the non-Western world. There are perhaps two-billion smartphones across the world and that is projected to reach 4billion by 2020"- Timothy Garton Ash.

This is a new opportunity for young people to learn new things, and learn to profit from their passion. Use the social media for good and not just numbers by the politicians to advance party positions.
