The crisis which we are witnessing is due to a number of causes all deliberate, avoidable. The system must be 'properly and transparently' be applied to achieve the purpose of democracy- life. liberty, human happiness.

There is urgent need for reforms/restructuring as a 'primary condition' for social justice in Nigeria; the rebalancing of economic and political power. In modern times, there is urgent need to make adequate efforts to 'restablish' the union upon new foundations for growth.

Instead of limiting states to their locality, they should remain 'distinct and autonomous', to enable them diversify economically to achieve growth. Economic life would thus be achieved without losing diversity.

The union would be preserved from the tendency towards stagnation that has characterised it. The current political structure is now unable to satisfy new demands thus exposes us to danger. Direct subordination -"complete control over people and resources and anything new comes to be feared" is barbaric and no longer relevant in today's world of new needs and new ideas.

We must discard the idea of ''the rule of the strongest'' which put us in continuos crisis. Restructuring of the current political structure is one sure way to preserve the union and its diversity and economic diversification for nationwide growth instead of endless stagnation.

There is urgent need to end the immoral dependence on the centre. The people that did these things are now in the process of ''quietly dying'' a natural death leaving us in crisis. Change happens whenever we are ready. It needs collaboration, it needs all of us. Active participation is needed to help strenghten our resolve to hold on. .
